Two roads diverged in a wood and I, I took the road less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.

Why Guardians of the Galaxy was awesome

comicconverse:

  • wicked hella music
  • it made me cry more than once
  • "we are groot"
  • the queen of sci-fi and chris pratt
  • basically it was just a band of misfits, not heroes, saving a planet
  • tiny dancing groot
  • it never took itself too seriously, and even though it was an action movie, it was still funny and heartfelt
  • there was about 12% of a romantic subplot, but it never went very far
  • just groot in general

My name is Wesley James Lock I’m an artist and an aspiring biologist living on the west coast of Florida. For as long as I can remember I have loved two things, art, and animals. I started studying both from a very young age and my dream has always been to make a career out of it. Unfortunately I dropped out of school for personal and health reasons and recently had to quit my job as well. I had been working construction for the last couple years but kept getting injured and just can’t do it anymore.

I can still make art, and want to bring back to life my dream of making it as a wildlife illustrator. I’d love to start selling prints and doing commissions again to bring myself back into it.

If you like my work and are interested in buying or commissioning a piece please send me a message, or if you would be kind enough to share this I’d greatly appreciate it.

I work in a wide range of budgets and always enjoy a challenge. Thank you for taking the time to read this, be well <3

starfish are you even fucking trying

i did a little googling, btw, and the biscuit starfish usually looks like this
[x]
but occasionally there’s a mutation that gives them four arms or six instead of five.
so — not a shop, but not what the animal normally looks like either. it is the starfish equivalent of a four-leaf clover.

Behold, the sea Poptart!

The Brazilian pygmy gecko (Coleodactylus amazonicus) is so small that raindrops pose a serious threat. Luckily, its body is so light and its skin so hydrophobic that it can shake off any drops that might land on it. It can even walk on water.

Life (2009)

they go BOING on the leaves and then they go walk on water and stuff

Remind me to try this with some Lygodactylus…

This is actually really fascinating. The last pic is what intrigues me the most. Tumblr, are there any other vertebrates that can stay above water by means of surface tension?

don’t you think it’s kind of funny that we have these characters with magical powers that go on incredible adventures and do amazing things and that’s really impressive but after a while we’re like “okay so what if they just owned a coffee shop. imagine them filing their taxes”

You see, this song is a song about reaching your goals, reaching your destination in a way. A long journey comes to an end that you finally made it in a way you wanted to be and as you glide down the Bosfor is and you see the golden rooftops of Constantinople, you realise that at the end of the rainbow there lies always another one to chase. You realise, you reached the end but the end is on the beginning, and the beginning is called Miklagard.
